πŸ§™β€β™‚οΈ Boss Raids: Mini-Bosses, Bosses & Omni Bosses

Boss raids are some of the most exciting and rewarding content in Ultima Online: Outlands. They require teamwork, respect for guild protocols, and coordination with allies. This guide explains how boss progression works, how summons happen, and how Pax Mercatura participates in alliance raids.

πŸ—ΊοΈ Boss Progression System

Bosses come in three levels of difficulty:

πŸ”Ή Mini-Bosses

  • Spawn inside dungeons as mobs are cleared
  • Kill mobs and loot to raise mini-boss chances
  • Defeating one grants a Mini-Boss Token in your Tome of Heroism
  • Tokens are used for society quests and unlocking dungeon bosses

πŸ”Έ Dungeon Bosses

  • Each dungeon has a progress bar visible in the Guild Menu
  • When it reaches 1,000,000 gold, an officer can summon the dungeon boss
  • Bosses appear in a special boss chamber and despawn after 60 minutes if not engaged
  • Drops include:
  • Rare items
  • Dungeon Codex XP
  • Heroism progress
  • Chance to roll on dungeon-themed rewards

Only officers can summon bosses. They will coordinate the raid and manage the group.

πŸŒ€ Omni Bosses

  • The highest-level raid content in Outlands
  • Unlocked when six different dungeon bosses have been defeated
  • Progress is tracked in your Tome of Heroism
  • When ready, a portal opens to a random Omni Boss
  • Omni fights require:
  • A full, geared raid party
  • High coordination
  • Strong alliances
  • Full consumables and readiness

Omni Bosses rotate weekly, and each one has its own abilities and mechanics.

πŸ§™β€β™€οΈ Summoning Bosses

  • Only Pax officers may summon bosses
  • We do not summon for other guilds
  • Gold needed for boss summoning is collected automatically as we raid
  • Summons are only done when the raid group is fully prepped

Progress and readiness are shown in: - Guild Menu β†’ Dungeons Tab - Tome of Heroism β†’ Tokens & Omni Gate Status

🀝 How We Work with Alliances

We regularly support trusted allies in boss content. Pax Mercatura operates with discipline and respect for others' summons.

βœ… We Do:

  • Join boss raids when invited
  • Follow all loot and role instructions
  • Tag bosses for Society Quest credit (if allowed)

❌ We Do Not:

  • Summon for others
  • Assume loot rights
  • Interfere with non-guild raids

πŸ“œ Raid Rules for Alliance Events

Before any raid involving other guilds, Pax officers will provide instructions.

Raid Instruction What You Should Do
Full Participation Join the fight and follow commands
Tag and Leave Hit the boss once, then exit the fight
Do Not Engage Stay back β€” this event is not for us

Even tagging a boss can fulfill Society Tasks, if it matches your quest.

🚫 Boss Corpse Looting Policy

πŸ›‘ Only Pax officers may loot boss corpses.

This is critical to ensuring fair reward distribution and accurate DKP tracking.

If you loot a boss corpse without permission:

  1. 🟑 You will receive correction and instruction
  2. 🟠 A second offense results in a formal reprimand
  3. πŸ”΄ Continued violations may result in removal from the guild

We run the guild with discipline and structure. If loot is mishandled, the entire system breaks down.

πŸ“– Summary

  • Boss raids require prep and discipline
  • Only officers summon and loot
  • Always ask before engaging in alliance raids
  • Follow raid leader commands without exception

Discipline brings victory. Victory powers the guild. The guild powers you.
